Halloween Porch 2017

T-7 days until Halloween! My kids are so excited! Soon enough they will be "too old" for cheesy Halloween decorations and trick-or-treating, so I will cherish these years when it's all so fun for them! Much to my kid's dismay, we don't really do anything "scary" on our porch, but we do try to "decorate" and make it festive every year.

Those huge Costco mums are starting to wither away, but I'm just convincing myself that's all a part of the appeal. :) Striped witch legs (Target) and witch brooms (Tuesday Morning) got "stuck" in them this year!
I like to put this skeleton witch on the front door. She constantly blows in the breeze, which I love. Bat decals (Target) are super easy to peel and stick for a little added touch on the windows. The witch hat hanging from the lantern is from my daughter's old Halloween costume.
And don't forget the plastic spiders (Dollar Tree)!
I couldn't pass up this interactive doorbell! I had an electrician come to the house the other day and he actually rang this one instead of the real one...it was so fun! I adhered it to the glass on the door with command strips.
We keep string lights on our porch all year, set on a timer. They look especially good this time of year!
I strung yards and yards of creepy cloth across this porch this year too. It's an inexpensive way to add some whimsy and drama!
I love, love, love how a Halloween porch looks at dusk.
We are heading out of town for a long weekend, but will be back for the big day! We will have a James Bond and a baby on our hands! xo

  1. I am loving the creepy cloth that you hung all around! And you DID see the blogger who spray painted her dead mums and used them for several more weeks.... right?
