Happy Friday! I wanted to share a quick makeover on a thrifted office chair I snagged up for $1.98. Some days I just get lucky!
This lonely chair caught my eye because the fabric was still in great shape and it sort of had a little bit of a Mad Men/Mid Century vibe to it. If it didn't work out, I was only out a few bucks.
It had some rust on the legs, but I knew I wanted to spray the base gold anyway. I sanded down the metal base and sprayed it with two coats of Rustoleum's Metallic Gold.
I was able to easily remove the back and seat by unscrewing them from the base.
And so there goes the story of my $2 office chair!
I just love this bright space so much. xo
How awesome! What a score too. I love the throw too.
ReplyDeleteHi Erin! Thanks, the faux sheepskin is from IKEA!
DeleteLove this, but I never find things like this at the thrift store so that's why I don't thrift. Maybe I need to go more?
ReplyDeleteHey Noe! It's so hit or miss, honestly. I don't go near as much as I used to, but the more you go, the more you score. I think finding a few good treasures are sometimes worth pouring through all the junk! :)
