This recipe should hardly be called a “salad”, but it does have apples in it! I made this last year and tried it again recently with an added ingredient. When referencing the pin (*update-this blogger isn’t blogging anymore), the blogger added a box of instant vanilla pudding to the recipe, which I also tried. There is no way anyone can NOT like this “salad”! It’s so good!
The kids and I went apple picking with friends a few weeks ago, and we picked a peck of apples. We ate most of them (and are still eating them), and I’m hoping to get an apple crisp out of the remaining ones. Aside from the chopping, this recipe is easy and a definite crowd pleaser!
Snickers & Apple Salad
Cool Whip
Package of instant vanilla pudding (small box)
1 cup milk
Snickers (as many or as few as you like)
Green apples
1. Add instant pudding into mixing bowl and pour in 1 Cup cold milk. Mix well and let chill while chopping Snickers.
2. Chop Snickers bars into bite size pieces.
3. Chop 8-10 green apples into bite sized pieces.
4. Fold in one 8 ounce container of Cool Whip into the pudding.
5. Combine Snickers and apples in bowl with pudding mixture.
Best served chilled! Note: I halved this recipe and used about 10 small snickers bars and about 6-8 apples.

how well does this keep without the apples turning brown. I want to make it a day ahead for a potluck the next day.

From my experience, this salad is best when made and eaten in the same day. We have saved leftovers and eaten them the next day, and it's not near as good! I am sure it would be totally edible, just probably not as good! Hope this helps!
