Easy Halloween Mantle

On a whim, I decided to pull out a few things and gussy up the mantle for Halloween (and I added some fun picture effects to make you spooked out :).  It only took about 10 minutes and I just used what I already had around the house.  It really isn't much, but it adds a nice little festive touch.

I used the black branches and ravens from last year (branches are from my yard spray painted black and ravens are from Dollar Tree).  The glitter skulls are also from Dollar Tree.  The orange vase is a clearance Target find.  I told you, cheap and easy!

The creepy cloth is also from Dollar Tree.  I always use my driftwood branches to help keep everything on the mantle.

Lastly, I used thrift store candlesticks and white candles to add height to the left side.  The white candles are from my stash and I simply added black electrical tape to make them striped.  Super simple DIY project!

I don't like to spend a lot of money on things that only go up in the house for 3 or 4 weeks.  Don't forget to shop your own house and play around with what you already have!  xo

  1. Those candles are to die for! I swear I have seen black and white ones that sell for $25 a pair. The electrical tape is genius!

    1. Thanks Sarah! I was using the electrical tape to hang some spiders on my porch and decided to go nuts with it! Cheap and easy!
