Freezer Tip

I had some neighbor ladies over last week for a Girl’s Night In and we somehow got on the topic of freezing red wine.   A friend of mine suggested freezing excess wine to use for future cooking.  I thought that was a great tip and I did just that after the girls left!  There was a small amount of red wine left in a bottle, so I dumped it in a freezer bag and threw it in the freezer!  Next time a recipe calls for red wine, I know I will have some on hand!

I also did this a few months back with a large bag of lemons that were given to me from a neighbor who was moving.  I threw a couple down the drain to clean my disposal, rubbed some on my cutting boards to clean them, and squeezed some fresh lemon juice into freezer bags so I could freeze.  Now I also have fresh lemon juice to grab when I need it for cooking/baking.

Seems simple, so why had I never thought of it?!  :)  Hope you are having a great week!
