DIY Camp Badge & Backyard Campout

We had talked about doing a backyard campout with some of our neighbors for several months, and we finally got around to doing it!  It was a perfect night filled with cool temps, friends, fire, hot dogs, s’mores, tent sleeping, flashlight fun, giggling, and making memories.

Pictures of the campout are below, but I first wanted to share with you these adorable little “camping badges” that my friend Kimberly made for the kids’ first campout.  She is crafty and creative and surprised the kids with these handmade badges.  I just love them and so do the kids!  These are definitely going on their bulletin boards!

Pink for the girls and blue for the boys.  How sweet are these?!  I love the handmade details.

Maybe this spring we will get a little adventurous and “rough it” outside of the neighborhood!

  1. We had a good time and made some good memories! So I'm determined that this will not be a complaint fest! Instead I'll be keeping it positive, and offer some tips I gleaned on this experience to make camping, or any vacation for that matter, the best experience possible!Tents Outdoors
