Spray Painted Owl

In the hunt for items for our bookshelves, I found this sweet little owl staring back at me on a thrift store shelf.  For $2.00, I had to have him (or her).

I cleaned it up and gave it a couple coats of white spray paint.  It now resides on our bookshelves and is one of my favorite pieces.

The best part of this story is that I spied a very similar owl when shopping at Anthropologie a few weeks ago.  It was $16.  Yes, I will take my $2 version and run with it!

Even the ugliest (or cutest) pieces can be transformed with the power of spray paint!
